That was short lived! Day 989 (Year 3, Day 257)

Livingston, TX

Looks like we'll be on the move again, starting (God willing) on Sunday, taking an 1100 mile trip back up to North Carolina, to a small town called Lexington, which is about 35 miles south of Winston-Salem.

We thought we'd be here for at least a month.  All utility companies, even in the same state, have different protocols and rules.  Apparently, in this little neck of the woods, Mitch not only would need to have an in-person test up in Arkansas, but the company would need to fly someone down at least every 2-3 weeks to monitor his progress.  In order to justify this expense, we would need to stay here until at least the summer.  We decided we really couldn't do this.  Although the campground itself is quite nice (with the exception of the poor water pressure), the cell and internet service is horrendous; at times non-existent which is not acceptable for me to run my business for any length of time.

Meanwhile, we had the RV tech come out yesterday.  He agreed the hydraulic problem was definitely the pump.  We're waiting for him to get authorization from the warranty company to replace it; hopefully this can be finished by Friday so we can pull out on Sunday.

Escapees also offers an RV weighing service.  We've never been weighed (too shy to use the CAT scales at the truck stops since we don't know what we're doing and the truckers would get pretty missed at us for taking so much time figuring it out!).  It's important to know whether we're in range or overweight (driving overweight could be extremely dangerous!)

Well, let's see how the rest of the week plays out.
