Augusta, GA
We took the trailer with us for the Yom Kippur services, which is the holiest day of the year: a day of atonements, asking of forgiveness, fasting, and hopefully coming out of it with a clean slate. It was a very spiritual day and thankfully, it was cool enough in the rig with the generator running. The only problem to report was that on the way over, on the truck, a message saying "check gauges" was flashing on the dashboard. Never heard of that before. We googled it and determined the most likely cause was a bad sensor somewhere, so we just prayed that that was the case and we wouldn't have a breakdown somewhere. As soon as we got to the synagogue property and got setup, we researched a diesel mechanic and were able to get an appointment for first thing Thursday morning (today).
We left the property at 6:45 am and arrived at the campground at 7:15. Without help, it took us an hour to back into our site (I wonder if we'll ever get the hang of it!). By 9:00, Mitch was able to leave and go the mechanic. The diagnosis was indeed a bad sensor. They didn't have the part, so he'll have to go back tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, he went to work. And I'm happy to be "home".
